A Novel Algorithm for Nighttime Context Enhancement

چکیده

Nighttime image context enhancement is one of the crucial areas in image processing as many objects can’t be seen due to poor illumination of the video. The purpose of image or video enhancement is to improve the visual appearance of the video. In this paper, a new algorithm is proposed in which the illuminant area of the nighttime image is enhanced to highlight the foreground and then it is fused with the daytime reference image to get an enhanced nighttime image. Parametric values like PSNR, Std. Deviation and MSE are also good. The algorithm is efficient and cost effective. Keywords— Video enhancement, PSNR, MSE
